Study of blood movement in human blood vessels, using physical laws

Author: Marina Tetunashvili
Annotation:

During blood circulation, it is important to establish the physical regularities that characterize it. Viscosity, a dynamic parameter occurring during fluid movement, also plays a crucial role in living organisms. Blood viscosity is related to various types of illnesses, making its measurement vital. For living systems, the blood flow is strictly defined, and any changes must be adjusted. There are forms of regulation that are clearly visible in Poiseuille’s formula, such as reducing the tube’s radius or increasing the liquid’s viscosity. The movement of blood in blood vessels is characterized by two types of flow: laminar and turbulent flow, which are determined by the Reynolds number. The so-called Krotokov’s method of pressure measurement is based on changes in blood flow and the main equation of hydrodynamics, Bernoulli’s equation.
