Fundamental constants

Author: Tsotne Gogoli
Annotation:

A description of the model of the early world is included in the bachelor's thesis. In particular, Friedman's theoretical model of the non-stationary world is discussed. Dirac's hypothesis about the change of fundamental constants during the expansion of the universe is also discussed. The main focus is on the study of the change of the fine-structure constant. In particular, the experimental material related to the radiation of distant quasars is given. Observing the emission of quasars in the redshift region allows us to study the change of the soft structure in the process of the evolution of the universe, it is shown that within the scope of modern experimental accuracy, no change in the magnitude of this constant can be observed. For the investigation of change of the fine-structure constant, the results of the experimental research related to the natural reactor "Oklo" (Africa) are also discussed. This reactor has been in operation for 109 years.
