The study of the action of bacteria and bacteriophages or their co-evolution is an actual issue. The mathematical model describing their interaction is discussed in the paper. Concentrations of food resources, bacteria, infecting bacteria and phages are considered. The interaction between bacteria and phages is described by a system consisting of 4 differential equations. The system contains non-linearity and time displacement, which is why the analytical solution of the system is impossible. The model allows us to observe various dynamics of the system. For example: oscillating and chaotic processes, switching modes and increasing the complexity of the system. It should be noted that the result of the impact of different physical parameters (eg temperature, pH) on the model is discussed in the paper, making the model more complete.
