Over the last few years, an increase in anthropogenic activity has resulted in more intensive research of ecological condition of water and soil. Heavy metal contamination of soil, surface and drinking water poses a considerable risk to plants, animals and human health. The aim of our analysis was to assess the concentration of some heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Zn, Ni, Cu, Mn, Fe) in the soil of village Iormughanlo, Sagarejo Municipality, using Microwave Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer. Besides that, evaluating the hydrochemical parameters of the river Iori and drinking water (spring and well water) was of our interest.
