The role of motivation in teaching and teaching methods

Students' interest in learning material and real motivation to learn is a problematic issue. Often, children's motivational impulse is to receive rewards or avoid punishment, which are not effective motivators for learning. This kind of motivation is external, and therefore, along with the disappearance of external impulses, the motivation to learn also disappears. It is necessary to arouse internal motivation, which implies interest and curiosity in the learning processes. However, giving rise to such motivation requires the fulfillment of certain prerequisites by teachers and parents, which are often neglected in the modern world. In addition to satisfying these prerequisites, it is necessary to use student-oriented learning processes and appropriate methods to stimulate internal motivation. Unfortunately, traditional teaching methods are often ineffective. Teaching methods, like all other fields, require the development and new approaches.
