Major obstacle in the research of Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is obtaining valid animal models, where differentiation of normal and PTSD-specific fear memories could be possible. Our project aims to study and reveal PTSD-specific patterns on the behavioural, cellular and molecular levels in animal models and therefore separate normal and pathological fear memories from each other.
