The aim of the work is to study the composition of biological membranes, their variety, structure and function. The introductory part of the paper presents the factors determining the relevance of the issue, which is accompanied by a description of the goals and objectives of the research. The first chapter of the work presents the structure and structure of the biological membrane, the essence and meaning of the biological membrane is explained, accompanied by an overview of the cell structure and constituent components. The second chapter of the paper introduces us to the discussion about the diversity of the membrane. In the same chapter, membrane functions and the characteristics of cell membrane functions are discussed. The final subsection evaluates membrane potentials at rest and equilibrium. The final part of the paper summarizes the issues raised and gives conclusions about the importance of the biological membrane.
