Determination of agrochemical toxic chemicals residues in apples and oranges using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry method

Annotation:

The aim of the present thesis was a determination of residual agrochemicals in some fruits, in particular, in apples and oranges, offered in supermarkets in Tbilisi. The analysis was performed by using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry. For separation we used a mobile phase composed of aqueous acetonitrile in combination with Zorbax Extend-C18 column. The residues of metalaxyl and mancozeb were found in both products indicating to the use of fungicide formulation Ridomil Gold in their cultivation.
